If you asked Tim what the most rewarding part of his job is, he would tell you it is the intellectual challenges associated with solving clients’ problems. Those problems range from finding the correct way to describe a new invention to developing a strategy to prevail in complex litigation. At the cornerstone of addressing each of our clients’ issues, Tim and his firm rely on three core elements––experience, efficiency and creativity.
Tim was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Drake University for both his undergraduate education, where he obtained his degree in small business management, as well as his graduate education where he earned his Master’s in Business Administration and Juris Doctor. Prior to entering Drake Law School, Tim worked in banking, marketing and design.
In 2002, Tim cofounded Zarley Law alongside his father, Don. Since then, Tim has filed over 1,500 patent applications, 1,100 trademark applications and taken the lead in over 100 litigation matters throughout the United States.
